I was intrigued from the get-go, due to the name of this product! For a Mommy
re-learning science along side her children the past ten years, I am always excited to find great new products. Once a science avoider, I have fell in love with learning about Creation! Nature study, experiments, and exploring, all capture our imaginations, intrigue and minds.

The product: Digital Frog Field Trip Series
Price: $125 for this combo of three trips; individually priced at $60, you save 20%

Visit the above link for a free demo. This Cd-Rom combines virtual field trips of three eco-systems: Wetlands, Desert and Rainforest traveling from Canada to America's SW, and on to Belize. The interactive software is user friendly. A 360-degree panoramas bring these systems to life. Individual sections to explore teach about organisms, types, mechanisms and even how humans impact and help protect these ecosystem. This helps to enhance understanding through interactive learning.

My son is able to use it independently, but I enjoy exploring with him. As an example, we visited the Wetlands during our Science studies while studying about Cracker Cow Hunters in the FL Wetlands. We visited a wetland park locally, and then was able to compare to the wetland of Ontario, Canada. As we visited different stations on our field trip, we would find different plants and animals. Clicking on these we dug deeper and received more information. The information also included information on classification and diet. This enabled us to also discuss animal classifications, carnivore vs. herbivore, food cycles and more. Please see more below. You can also visit the TOS Homeschool Crew to see others experiences. We are currently visiting the Desert during our study of the Wild West. I use this virtual field trip
as a supplement to a Desert Unit Study I have on hand. The interactive Cd-Rom incorporates animations, narration, games, text, full color photographs and a comprehensive workbook in one easy-to-use package. Many a student will find this product helpful and engaging. Reality technology adds to this engagement.

Digital Frog Website says this about the Desert Trip: Five deserts of the southwestern U.S. — from the saguaro cacti of the Sonoran to the sand dunes of Death Valley—are brought to life in our biggest field trip ever.
