Destination Disney

Continuing with our “back to basics” theme for September, this week, we’d like to talk to you about Lodging.

Have you been to Disney World? If so, where is your favorite place to lodge?
Do you prefer to stay on property? If so, what are the benefits and what are the downfalls? If not, where do you stay, and why? Be sure to include pictures in your post!

As I have said, we have been so blessed in our lifetime to enjoy such a place of leisure. We used to travel from VA. Our first stay was at Days Inn in Kissimmee. It was not modern or that nice, but we spent little time there anyway. Later we traveled from Northern FL and stayed in the Value Resorts on Property. We loved the experiences, but again we did not spend a lot of time at the resort. The Value Resorts offered such a family-friendly atmosphere. My husband and I enjoyed watching all the families while enjoying our own. We are getting nostalgic the older we get. We enjoyed the transportation, service and resort refillable cups! After moving to the Orlando area and working for the company, we enjoyed visiting a variety of the resorts. My favorite is Port Orleans Riverside. Although, we enjoyed all the resorts.

Some of The Perks: Airport transportation, Dining Plan, Free Park transportation, Extra Magic Hours, when staying at a Disney owned resort.

Nothing, however, beats enjoying the park and then driving home to your own bed. Well, unless you walk in to dirty dishes. So, if you ever live out your own dream and move to FL, wash your dishes before heading out to enjoy Disney World. Just a piece of friendly advice!
