Song For Sunday

My husband led us in this song today as we wrestled with the emotions over yesterday's church merger. Now the Haines City Campus of a new church, yet to be named, we worshiped and took communion to remind us that we are one body, United in Christ and love! Please keep our church ( The former First United Methodist Church of Haines City and Davenport United Methodist Church, as we go through this time of change to become more like Christ and further His kingdom.

HYMN: "In Christ There Is No East or West"
1. In Christ there is no east or west,
in him no south or north;
but one great fellowship of love
throughout the whole wide earth.

2. In Christ shall true hearts everywhere
their high communion find;
his service is the golden cord
close binding humankind.

3. (Words copr.)

4. In Christ now meet both east and west,
in him meet south and north;
all Christly souls are one in him
throughout the whole wide earth.

Text: John Oxenham (sts 1, 2, 4); (st 3--not shown) Laurence Hull Stookey
Music: Afro-American Spiritual; adapt. and harm. by Harry T. Burleigh
