Marvelous Darlin'

So ladies, how are you doing on the two pledges (Rainbow Diet and Healthy snacks)?
How about on the 2010 Challenge to set dreams/goals, post them, and aim for them? Are you seeing the blessings in everyday? What if not? What then?

The reason I urged you to set dreams and not resolutions this New Year, was for the fact that you were going to fail at some point. That is what sets dreams and resolutions apart, however. With dreams, it is the failures that help us to learn and soar to new heights! We can learn from each mistake and each victory! It is the journey towards the dream that really forms who we are.

Over the weekend, as we were having a girl's weekend at my house, we watched several movies. These movies were all centered on strong women. Only one was totally sad. It was about a woman who let the mundane of life, the lack of noticing her daily blessings, ruin her. All the movies had at least one major character die. My daughter asked, "What's with this Mom? How depressing! The movies are great, they did not have to have death in each one!" I commented back, " I had not even noticed! I was so focusing on how each woman had LIVED! I was focused on their journey!" I learned some great lessons from Queen Victoria, Southern Women, Coco Channel and Amelia Earhart this weekend. Thank you ladies!

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
