TOS REVIEW: Children's Bible Hour Ministry

What a joy to be reconnected with this amazing ministry and all they do to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and good character! Children's Bible Hour (CBH) is known for their radio dramas, but now has a series of books published. These stories come with an accompany story CD. These stories are lovingly built around the four seasons and represent four seasons in the life of a Christian.
OUR MISSION: (From the CBH Website) CBH Ministries is an international Christian ministry based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which produces and distributes excellent media resources to evangelize and disciple kids and their families.

The new Seasons of Faith Series picturebooks with CD, are adapted from the old radio broadcasts. The beautifully illustrated stories share core Biblical truths with youngsters so that they may apply them to their own lives. As mentioned these represent seasons of faith-building topics: (these notes are shared from CBH)
SPRING This is a time when people experience new life in Christ. Faith develops and Christians begin to share the Salvation message with others. This book is titled Race With Midnight Summer: The season when faith grows under God’s love and care. Fruit is witnessed and triumphs are gained through applying His Word and striving to be the best we can be in Christ. This title is called You Can't Come In. Autumn: Times of struggle and temptation, peer pressure, making mistakes, and scary transitions happen during this season. Even though it might seem like nothing good can come from this time, God has promised us He will be there. He will teach us how to forgive and then grow in grace. This lovely book is titled Seventy Times Seven. It is a favorite! Winter: This season is the most difficult. Deep struggles, mourning, trying to make it through difficult times, or the death of a loved one can pull us away from God. He teaches us to lean on Him for comfort and peace. Lastly, this valuable lesson and book is titled, Braving the Storm.

My son and I curled up at night to listen to Uncle Charlie reading these beautiful books. These are moments we will cherish. He has learned many of the truths already in his twelve years but we still enjoyed the lessons. We know His word never grows old and that we can always learn from it. I found that even I was encouraged as I listened to Uncle Charlie once again. Nothing is more important in your Homeschool studies than that of faith development. Interesting! I look on the website but couldn't see how many pages the books are and how long the cd's are. Can you answer these questions?

Thanks for pointing this out! The ones I reviewed were about 16 pages each. I do not have a time marked on the CD nor have I read this information anywhere. We listened to them at bedtime and then discussed the questions and story. We usually took 15-20 minutes for this.
