Several Lessons from the Past

I wanted to let you in on a site that I was introduced to from the Erskine family.
This site contains many antiquated lessons published in the 1800's. I am just beginning my own investigation of these, but am thrilled to have the chance to look at them. One novel idea I stumbled upon:
when using flashcards be sure you are showing the child the side with the answer. We want the child to associate a number plus a number equaling a sum not a blank space!
I hope you will visit Don Potter's site. There are several classic texts, covering many subjects, to gain wisdom from throughout the site. Happy treasure hunting!
